Rural areas of our country are losing the health care services they need. Growing up in my small town of Red Oak, Oklahoma, I know we do not always have the time to drive 2 to 3 hours to get the required medical attention. We need to do more to recruit and encourage doctors to serve the rural areas of our country. Rural hospitals need to remain open to help the people who cannot travel to big hospitals in metropolitan areas.
